How Hard You Try Day 64

The lights flicker on and the group wakes up with an incredibly bad hangover, the stench of blood, vomit and death linger in the air. A door opens and a squad of P90s enter the room, one directs the others with hand gestures clearly practiced and played out before. In twos they move throughout the room picking up those that need to go to the infirmary to address their wounds and dragging the others that need to be disposed of.

It Doesn't Even Matter Day 63 part 3

"Daniel, you died." Ross stands staring at his recently departed friend. "Is this...is this what is supposed to be scaring me?" He steps back from Daniel

"Scare you? I scare you?" Daniel takes a step towards him.

"Well you are dead, you know like a ghost. But somethings wrong." Ross stops stepping back and cocks his head to the side and examines the apparition before him more closely.

"What is it?" Daniel looks around and then looks on his shirt as though he spilled some ketchup on himself.

"You're all glowy and Jedi looking." he scratches his head.

One Thing, I don't know Why... Day 63 part 2

Liz is gone, it was her day and when she wanted to stay, to stay with me, I made her leave. It wasn't because of fear of what Cipher would do to her if she stayed, it wasn't because I wanted her to go and be safe, it was because I didn't want her here anymore. I couldn't look at her. Ross slides down the wall and sits, his arms across his knees and his head buried inside his little home made fort.

10/7/12

Mr. 100 Days has returned so that it can end.

Welcome back to Mr. 100 Days

This I'll refer to as the third part in our trilogy, the final chapter or last season of our story.

It Starts with One.... Day 63

Everything has changed, yesterday it was the same as always, the buzzers went off, the group gathered and held up their tags and the procedure took place. But with what has happened yesterday it all changed.

Yesterday Daniel, the man the group new as Mr. 100 Days died. He fell to his death saving several of members of the group including Liz from another one of Cipher's horrible death traps. The man who was sentenced to 100 days in this room by a saboteur and Cipher the one behind all of this, died a hero in a room of victims.

I would Die... (jump to) Day 62

"Its the waiting that kills me. Every morning, that waiting for that monitor to turn on, I don't think I'll ever watch TV again." Jim stands in the circle with the rest of the group.

"I'm never watching House again that's for sure." Liz shoots back.

"What's wrong with House? I like that show." Ross looks over to her, looking at her with a scrunched up face, clearly confused.

"Cipher sounds like that guy from House." Liz pokes Ross in the shoulder, she's clearly in a good mood, today is her day to leave.

"Who? Hugh Laurie? He's British.Cipher doesn't sound British." he pokes her back, he's excited for her to be leaving but he's also worried that what ever Cipher deems to be today's challenge will hold her up from getting out of this place alive.

3/2/12

I was wishin that.. (jump to) Day 59

"Who's turn is it today?" Liz sits up and stretches from the hard cold floor.

"Marcus I think." Ross sits up as well and helps Daniel to his feet.

"Where is he?" Daniel looks around.

"West wall" say Ross and he points to the man crouched with this arms wrapped around his knees. "Easy to find everyone know with only twenty of us left, after him you're next to leave aren't you?" Ross nudges Liz.

2/17/12

Of living a lie (jump to) Day 52

"You know what day is starting right now right?" Ross paces back and forth.

"Yes, I know what day it is." Daniel sits on the floor and tries not to watch him because his antics are making him both sick and a little manic.

"He's going to leave us in here for this entire day, you know this right?" Ross bites his nails and stares at the floor without lifting his head to speak to Daniel.

"Yeah, I know this. He's left us in here for over a week, I'm sure the group thinks we're dead." Daniel tries to calm him down, but then realizes that this approach is probably having the opposite effect.

I was so sick and tired Day 46 pt 2

They have been through so many different tortures, water, fire, hanging, and they have suffered. Sound, taste, and smell; they've been attacked on every front of their senses and it seems to never stop. One other time they were challenged to eat, they had to eat boxed lunches constantly through out the day, the amount of food was dominating and made them so sick it made them not want to eat for days.

This, this is worse, the smell is unbearable, some of the eggs are cooked, hard boiled, others are scrambled but most of them are raw. They all need to be eaten, the group trudges through and does the best they can, but egg after egg just causes them to be more and more sick.

The Return of Mr. 100 Days

This is the 74th post to this blog/story and when it began it seemed like it would be a daunting task to try and chronicle 100 days of 100 people, and it has become just that.

There has not been an update in a month due to other obligations and writing issues, I am announcing today that following this message here there will be exactly 28 more posts to Mr. 100 Days and it will then be over.

As there have been 72 previous posts in regards to the ongoing story the final 28 will keep with the 100 theme. 100 posts for Mr. 100 Days.

This second part to Mr. 100 days was to go the way of conspiracy theory and government John Grisham type way of the story, clearly I'm no John Grisham. I'm not even into politics so doing a government angle turned out to be some what of a mistake.

There will be only 3 more posts to coincide with the second part to Mr. 100 Days, that tie to the 'Amazing' song lyrics. So this time around I'm not finishing the song.

There will be some jumping in days now and then the third part to the trilogy that is Mr. 100 Days will begin and start towards its end.

Thank you all for your patience.
Hope you enjoy.

But couldn't get out the door... Day 46 pt1

"Welcome to day 46!" Ciphers voice booms from the speaker system, the group jumps up startled, this isn't the normal beginning of their day, and change for a lot of the people in this group after this many days is a scary thing. "I know you normally gather and wait for me, but today I wanted to switch things up. We are down to nearly a fourth of you and we have quite some time to go before this is all over. With my two top stars who usually find themselves putting on a show around here sidelined I'm going to need to spice things up today for our audience." If you could see his smile through his mask it would be from ear to ear.

12/9/11

Yeah i thought I could leave Day 45 pt 2

"Oh my God! What was that?!" Ross screams out holding his chest.

"Shut up man, just do as I do and you'll be fine." Jim stands up and helps Ross up from the floor.

"Holy crap, that thing pounded me. Is that today's challenge?" Ross rubs his chest.

11/18/11

And I hit the floor Day 45 part 1

The torture of day 44 lasted only six hours of their day but will live with them forever. In the end twelve out of the twenty nine had medical screws drilled into their shins. Anne and Ross made it through the day without being harmed, and Liz, though she tried to have it happen to her also walked away unscathed.

The room was in a very peculiar mood, if you weren't walking around with a severe limp and trying to push through the pain you were wondering why Liz had switched tags with someone, and why Cipher would allow it to happen.

11/11/11

When I lost my grip Day 44 pt2

Two rounds he said we would be done with this, the group could end this day as early as they wanted, all they would have to do is brace for the pain.

The first round of men and women have been sitting in the chairs for about 2 hours now. The sweat is beading at their brow and their arms are beginning to quiver. Cassie, number 80, is pushing with all her might, her elbows are locked and she's got her back slammed against her chair. She holds on with such tenacity. because the moment she lets that bar go there is a possibility that a drill will extend from the floor and screw a medical screw into her shin bone, the tibia, and that won't feel good.

11/4/11

The Pain Day 44 part 1

The lights come on and the door on the West wall opens up, Oscar comes stumbling back into the room, he's in a pair of what looks like blue pajamas he looks back a the group as he walks across the room to get to the center where the group is.

Day 44 begins and a woman, Gayle, stands up and holds her 44 tag in the air, she gives no speeches and neither does Cipher, he simply illuminates the door on the East wall and Gayle makes her way out to freedom. Just as the door closes the other doors on the balcony above open and the P90s enter the room with their guns out and aimed at the crowd.

"You are really getting lazy here Cipher, another day of just shooting us?" Steve mouths off with his hands on his scrawny hips. He's lost so much weight from being in the room that he's not nearly as muscular and formidable as he used to be.

"Lazy? No, just bringing out the security while some of the other P90s take care of some things in the room." The door on the South wall opens and one of the P90s emerge pulling a long cart on which appear to be at least 20 exercise machines.Four other P90s assist him and drag it into place. They lock the wheels flip a few switches and guide the group away from them as one of them does some fine tuning.

"Step back Ross." one of them speaks to Ross under his breath.

"Are you the one who spoke to me the other day?" Ross tries to inconspicuously mumble to the man in full body armor.

"Yes, now stand back, and if you can, be round two of this day, it will be in your favor." the P90 walks away from him, but Ross tries to casually follow.

"I thought you were shot for talking to me." he whispers to him.

"I will be if you keep it up, but no, I shot the other man. Now get back or we'll draw to much attention, make your group be round two of this, this one is going to be hard, and not pleasant for any of you. But it won't kill you."

Cipher begins to go on to the group about how he's been to easy on them lately, all these mental games have made them be whimpering fools and they've lost some of the strength they had early on here, in the first 20 days they went through so many more physical hardships that he needs to return to that.

"Dude, where's Daniel, what was up with that Oscar guy and is Cipher someone in the government?" Ross grabs the P90s arm to get him to listen, but the man spins away from him, pulls out a taser and shocks Ross to the ground.

"Ross, laying your hands on a P90, how brave and utterly stupid of you." Cipher acknowledges whats going on and the rest of the group back away from the P90 and the wiggling on the floor Ross.

The P90s grabs his arm and drags him to the wall, he grabs his shirt and hoists him to a sitting position. "I just got you to round two or maybe even out of this. As for your questions, he's fine, listen to Oscar, and yes." he then forcibly pushes him back to the wall and Anne and Liz come over to help.

"See its this type of insubordination I'm talking about. Ross grabs a P90, Scott constantly mouthing off. Do me a favor Scott, get into one of the chairs there of the machine."

"It's a lat press machine, I use these at the gym all the time." He sits in the seat and locks his feet into the base, grabs the handles in front of him, and pushes the weight forward, its heavy, especially for someone who hasn't worked out in a while and has a bad diet for the past 44 days. He quickly lets the bar back, but as he does a rod comes up from the floor humming and holding a single small screw. The screw is driven into his shin. "AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaargggggghhhhhh!" he screams as the pin enters his leg, stops and the rod goes back to the floor.

Scott falls from the machine holding his leg, a tiny bit of blood trickles from the mark on his leg where the screw entered and he flops around like a fish out of water screaming in pain. "Well now Scott, where's your big mouth now?" Cipher quips. "Welcome everyone to Day 44 which I'm calling, The Pain. You will take turns, there should be enough seats for all of you to to do this in two rounds. You will sit in the chair, you will  push the bar forward and you will hold it there for a set amount of time. After that amount of time the bar will lock and you will be able to leave the chair safe and sound. If however you release the bar to soon the rod will come up from the floor and a titanium orthopedic screw will then be drilled into your tibia. This will not break your leg, you'll be able to walk fine after a while, but the pain I assure you is detestable, don't believe me? Ask big mouth Scott there. You'll most likely not even bleed, your legs are so thin at this point in our experiment the screw is going through a thin layer of skin and right into the bone. First round, get in the chairs." The P90s on the floor draw their weapons and guide the first group of people into the seats. "Now everyone get ready...and push your bar forward."

The group pushes forward, most of them have no issue with the weight, its an easy push off, but hours of this will wear at their arms and drain their strength to the point where they will have to let go. Jim shouts out, "How long do we have to do this for? Whats the preset time for the chairs?"

"Each chair is different, there's no real way to know if your bar is locked or not without letting go, so hold on for as long as you can, stay strong and hope for the best. Just like you've all been doing, and maybe now, after this day,  we wont be so mouthy or handsy."

Day 44 begins.

10/28/11

Tryin to walk through Day 43 part 2

Its difficult to pace when you only have a three foot section to move, what makes it even worse is that you are confined by your determination to stay within that three foot area. You could drop the rope, you could run around, you can try and walk through the room in the same manner that you are running and walking in your mind, but then the guns go off like they did an hour ago.

10/21/11

When I was going insane Day 43 Part 1

Day 43 started different than any other day in the room, the group not only awoke to the simulated dawn and the wake up alarm but a  coffee bar.

They stood there and stared at it, looking for some sort of trick, gimmick or trap. A coffee bar in front of them with paper cups each numbered with each of their numbers and hot steaming coffee poured in each, with more pots behind the cups for refills. The numbered cups were those of only the people who were currently in the room so they felt this wasn't something where they had to consume 100 cups of coffee between the group though some of them felt they could.

The monitor eventually came on and Cipher assured them that the coffee was for them, that they needed it because the events that were going to take part that day would keep them up for most of the night and they should start their coffee early. Scott was the first to step forward and drink a cup, he made some stupid comment on how he usually likes a little sugar with his coffee and winked awkwardly at some of the women. Cipher did say that the coffee would only be served black and that everyone should have a cup, even those who do not like coffee, but it wasn't however mandatory that they drink.

Cipher then told them the process of letting someone leave wasn't going to take place as the number 42 was one of the tags that Bonny had kept to herself and not shared with the group. He asked them for a moment while he prepared some items for the day, and let them know it would be a bit. The late start would cause them to run their 'experiment' into the night, hence the coffee.

They sat and drank the warm beverage and it brought a sense of normalcy to them. A sense of home, the hot drink  warmed them inside in a way they had not had in so long. They finished their drinks and some of the group acted as servers, giving a warm up or topping off the cup of Joe that was so good that not one of them only had one cup.

Two cups stayed on the shelf, one marked 100 the other marked 60, everyone obviously knew that the 100 was Daniel, but no one had a clue who 60 was. Time dragged, hours passed, and the group started to become antsy  and agitated, several of them crumpled their cups and threw them to the ground in anger when they found out the coffee was all gone and they had to be kept waiting longer. They would soon regret their anticipation as the monitor came on and Cipher began to explain the events of the day.

"Along all four walls you will see there are cables three feet in length hanging out, they look like rope but it is in fact the same type of steel cables used for elevators. Everyone is to grab one of those cables now, you'll be hanging on to that cable for the next 12 hours. If you let go you will be shot, repeatedly. Your only saving grace for the day that will keep you unharmed is that cable, i cannot stress enough to not let go. You may switch hands but you must always have the cable in your hands at all time. Any questions?"

"Where's Daniel!" Ross shouts out.

"He's in the infirmary. Any more?" Cipher responds

"Who's number 60?" Anne calls out.

"Oliver." Cipher responds and the room mumbles, does his cup being there mean Oliver is alive?

"Where's Oliver?" Anne calls out again.

"He's also in the infirmary, I'm not an animal people, he needed help, he was delusional and in that state I knew he would never survive this test in particular so he's been sedated for a bit."

"All we have to do is hold the cable?" Liz asks.

"Yes. But...." he pauses.

"But what?" Liz and the others wait for him to finish.

"Well you all drank a lot of my coffee."

"So like we're going to pee our pants and thats the big deal? Hell I think I've peed in my pants at least 3 times here already." Ross attempts to lighten the mood.

"Well while you're comfortable wetting yourself Ross, some of the others are not, but the urination factor is the smallest of your concerns."

"What's the biggest of our concerns?" Jim asks.

"5150 Juice." Cipher responds.

"What is 5150 Juice?" Jim asks to his answer.

"5150 is concentrated liquid caffeine, one ounce of it contains 500mg of caffeine, each cup that you drank probably had two ounces of it in it. So you all consumed at least 1000 to 1500mg of caffeine just now. Plus the coffee wasn't black, it was actually sweetened with fenfluramine/phentermine."

"Phen Fen?!" Ross, eyes wide, spits out.

"Isn't that a weight loss drug?" Liz looks at him.

"Yeah, its also like speed! That combined with 1500 to more likely 2000mg of caffeine?!" he starts to panic as he says the words and he can feel his heart trying to beat right through his sternum. "OhMyGod OhMyGod OhMyGod OhMyGod OhMyGod."

"Ross calm down!" Anne shouts over to him.

"Oh I'm afraid a lot of you are going to have a hard time doing that today Anne; calming down will be next to impossible. All that caffeine and speed running through your system, I don't think it will kill you but you're definitely going to give the ticker a run for its money. Makes you wonder how easy is it going to be to hang on to a three foot steel cable standing in one spot for 12 hours all hopped up on that stuff. I'd have to guess that you're going to feel as though your being driven insane. Your thoughts will be scattered, panicked, heart racing, you won't be able to focus and having just that small area for you to stand is going to push you to the edge. Not to mention, I'll be checking in throughout the day, see how you're doing, give you some motivational speeches little encouragement to get you through it all. I'll see you all in a bit."

The monitor shuts off.

Day 43 began hours ago.

Anne - Make me lose control

She was a day dreamer. She would sit in her office and long for better things, a better life, a better car, and a better  love life. She felt that she had grown up and been disappointed that better things didn't just come to her. It wasn't that she wouldn't work at things, she loved working hard on whatever it was, her job, her family everything she gave 100%. But at this point in her life she thought she would be somewhere else, she expected more and those expectations on a daily basis caused her grief and just made her tired of her day to day life.

She loved old music, old as in 80s old not classical old. If it was before Pearl Jam it was old. She'd blare her stereo every time some great cheesy song would come on by any of the true classical artists, Journey, Foreigner, even White Snake.

One that stuck out for her, one that has been playing over and over in her head for the past several days in this room is starting to drive her a bit mad. It reminds her of home because she remembers actually saying, the city's the color of flame in this mid-summer heat. Her best friend Jenny would pick her up and she'd throw the song on immediately from her ipod and scream, Jenifer's got Daddy's car and she's playing uptown on the stereo.

She would say to her fiancee, hold me close never let me go, and they'd hug and squeeze so hard that they couldn't breathe. His embrace made her feel safe and warm and a little bit more complete and secure that she's gotten to at least one point in her life by having a real relationship regardless if it seemed a bit shallow. She loved him, she cared for him deeply and it seemed like the next step to do in their relationship, it was logical thinking that made her say yes to his ordinary proposal. Maybe she hadn't had some grandiose show of romance and it felt like it involved little planning, but that sort of thing was only done on TV and in the movies. That's what her mindset was, she was logical, she had to accept her expectations were just that expectations and not reality. She had to play it safe, be in control of her life and her expectations.

But this room has changed things, being trapped in the same room for days on end creating the worst cabin fever you could think of has changed her mind on so much. She can't wait to get back to her job, see her co-workers, she can't wait to sit in her car and just drive with no place to go. To see Jen, to laugh and have fun and scream with joy to the point where she just belly flops into her bed and falls to sleep happy. She can't wait for all those things, but she's worried because she knows she should be rushing back to her man's arms, to be held and squeezed until she can't breathe. But that thought has been replaced with the worry that she'll never see someones eyes again.

This is where that song is cursing her now, because she keeps thinking, 'when I look in your eyes, I go crazy, fever's hot with the lights down low, but its not her man back home she's thinking of. Its his eyes, his caring, loving eyes that just seem to look through her. It pains her to think she won't see them again. She's so afraid that when she leaves this room and goes back to try to pick up her life and finds theirs a piece of her life still missing and its him.

She day dreams now about the day she gets home and sees everyone, the crying, the hugs and kisses, probably the media. She'll want that moment however where she just asks if she can have a moment to herself and go in her room and splash on to her bed and 'turn the radio up for that sweet sound'. Hope the feeling of 'Hold me close never let me go' is there. But she can look back at the room and 'Keep this feeling alive' think of the man she'll be waiting for when he gets out, so she can then say to him, 'Make me lose control.'

10/6/11

In my life Day 42 part 3

The day started rough, really rough, Cipher had demanded that Daniel be forced to fight twelve people one every hour at the top of the hour for the next twelve hours, an atonement for his lies to the group, for killing Dalton and for betraying his friends.

Oddly several members of the group didn't have a problem with this, Scott had volunteered to fight Daniel, claiming to be fighting for his fallen friend Dalton, but Ross was told he had to be the first.

9/30/11

There were times... Day 42 pt 2

"What did you say?" Ross steps in front of Daniel.

"I killed Dalton. When we were in the rooms, when Cipher told me he'd meet me one on one, he had Dalton dress like him. He was in the mask and he couldn't speak, it looked like his lips were glued shut. Then he taunted me until I snapped and I attacked what I thought was him. I thought if I could kill Cipher it would end all of this, that the P90s would just quit and we'd get out. I thought... I thought I could save us. I was wrong, he lied and he made me kill a friend of mine." Daniel sits on the floor.

"You didn't say anything. Its been days, weeks since that happened, and you never said a word. Why?" Ross looks at him, clearly angry.

"I was scared, I killed our friend, its not easy to come clean when you have that kind of blood on your hands." Daniel talks to the ground, unable to look at Ross.

"I'd think it be easy for you, its not the first time you've gotten blood on your hands." Cipher prods the situation.

"What does that mean?" Liz looks to both Cipher and Daniel.

"I put a man in the hospital once. I nearly beat him to death. He is in constant need of medical attention, he has difficulty talking, he lost his right eye and he has to eat a special diet and I did that to him." Daniel looks at Liz.

"Why?" is all she can think to say.

"He was responsible for the death of my wife and son." Daniel puts his hands over his face, rubbing as if to erase everything there.

"Your wife is dead?! You talk about her all the time as though you have to get back to her!" the words stumble out of Ross's mouth, he's just more and more shocked by each thing that is said.

"I do have to get back to them, to my home, to their graves. I see them and talk to them all the time."

"That's a lie." Cipher jumps in. "He's lying there. The other things all true, but seeing them all the time thinking of them, no, he used to, but he gave up on their memory long ago."

"#$*& YOU!" Daniel screams and stands up. "I never stopped. I just chose to start living my life in a way that wasn't a reflection of their death every day."

"And why is that? Was it because you put Sean Thatch into the hospital? Was it because you saw him one day at the mall in his wheelchair and the actions of  your life were there sitting and staring back at you?! Did it eat at you that the justice system that kept him out of prison for what he did was the same one that kept you out of prison for what you did? "

"How do you know that? Who are you?" Daniel thinks back to the day he saw Sean at the mall, their eyes met for a moment, neither said anything. He remembers hoping that Sean didn't look at him and think 'now we're even' because that wasn't the case, they weren't even, his wife and son were gone and it was because of him. He hated him, and felt his pain was worse than his, but he knew that if every day he carried that hate it would be every day that he wouldn't be living and his wife wouldn't want that at all. "You don't know what it was like, they were my everything, and he took it away."

"Hey, don't let him do that to you, don't let him take you back there. You changed your life for your family so you could keep living, its why he made you 100, because he knew, he knew you decided to live and move on past that. You went on to push through every day of pain to make it through that tragedy, I can't even imagine. Just like you'll make it through this thing." Jim puts his hand on his shoulder.

"Aw, the ever consoling Jimmy." Cipher interjects. "Here's what we're going to do, first Kelly get out or stay, now." Kelly turns and sees the door at the far end of the room lit up and runs for the door. "Smart choice, who knew she had it in her. Second, the events of day 42 are about to change due to this play of recent events. Jim, do you forgive Daniel for killing Dalton?"

"I do, Dalton's death is your fault, just as every other death that's taken place here is on you."

"What about you Ross? Do you forgive him? You don't look so happy." Cipher remarks.

"No. I don't forgive him."

"Ross, he didn't know!" Anne steps up.

"He knew afterwards, he's known for over 20 days, but he didn't tell us. He didn't tell me."

"This isn't about you Ross." Anne tries to calm him down.

"No, its about us." Ross pokes Daniel in the chest. "How many times were we away from the group? How many times did we talk about everything that was bringing us down? About the others here? About our lives at home, all the personal stuff we told each other, how many times?! If you would have told me, and said please don't tell the group, I would have done that, I'd keep your secret, but that's not what happened! You didn't trust me with the truth. Everything thing that we've been through together and you couldn't tell me what was really going on with you. What's that about Daniel!"

"I just couldn't bring myself to do it, he was our friend, and he died because of me."

"No, Daniel stop.." but Liz is cut off.

"No Liz, it is his fault! Dalton is dead because of you and your temper and your thinking you could end all this. What if it was Cipher, what if you did kill him and the P90s just left, and they left us in here to just die of starvation, with no one to find us?! All of the sudden they were going to have a conscious and be like 'oh well we might as well let everyone go, whats the point.' For real?!" Ross rants on.

"They wouldn't have done that, they would've.." and then Cipher is cut off.

"Shut up! You're not playing me today with this, its your fault too that Dalton's dead. Its your fault Rashaan is dead, that Jason is dead, Linda, Chuck and everyone else, its ultimately your fault. I'm mad at you, Daniel,  for not telling me." he pokes Daniel again. "I'm mad at you for not trusting me with this. There were times....there were times I told you things I wouldn't tell anyone, and I thought you were doing the same. But you were holding back."

"I did this because I CARE ABOUT OUR FRIENDSHIP. I didn't tell you because if I'm going to make it for another 60 damn days in this place I had to have someone be there for me! I walk around like I'm this big cool loner and I can take care of myself! But, if I told you then.."

"If we're friends, if we really care about one another, we can tell each other anything, regardless if it will hurt our feelings, or make us look different at someone or something, it won't matter. Because our trust of one another, our value that we put on our friendship on how we support one another to get through all of this, it supposed to mean something. But if your lying, if you put your worries about how I'll react rather than trusting me enough to allow me to react, well then it doesn't mean anything."

"Wow, look at the tempers fly, who's ready for day 42 because I have a great idea. The next twelve hours, are the next twelve rounds. In this corner, the man who lied to you all about his wife and son, the man who killed one of your own with his bare hands out of hate and not survival, he is Mr. 100 Days, lets give it up for Daniel! His opponent, rather opponents, twelve of you, one each hour on the hour will fist fight killer over here, the round ends when one of you physically can't answer a ten count, and no throwing the fight. If Daniel loses a fight, its not over, he's got to get back up and fight the next round. Do I have any volunteers?" Cipher waits, but not for long.

"I'm in." Scott moves up. "You lied to us, all of us, and Dalton wasn't my closets of friends but he chose me and my side once, so I'll fight on his behalf."

"Excellent! Anyone else?" Cipher pauses but no one seems quick to step forward. "That's what I thought, so I'll be picking the other eleven. My first pick, Ross, you get to be lucky contestant number one, and since it just so happens to be the top of the hour I suggest you take that anger your feeling right now and channel it against your buddy here. Because the bell is ringing right now, ding...ding."

The rest of the group fall back away from Ross and Daniel as though they're watching a school yard fight.

Day 42 begins.
