It Starts with One.... Day 63

Everything has changed, yesterday it was the same as always, the buzzers went off, the group gathered and held up their tags and the procedure took place. But with what has happened yesterday it all changed.

Yesterday Daniel, the man the group new as Mr. 100 Days died. He fell to his death saving several of members of the group including Liz from another one of Cipher's horrible death traps. The man who was sentenced to 100 days in this room by a saboteur and Cipher the one behind all of this, died a hero in a room of victims.

Before Cipher's personal guards, known as the P90s could remove Daniel's body from the room, Ross, a fellow captive of the room and the man who had become a close personal friend of Daniel did what no one has expected. He took Daniel's 100 day tag, left his own, and replaced Daniel as Mr. 100 Days.

Everyone is standing in the group, but its not the same, no one has raised their tag and their feelings of despair and fear have been replaced with anger. Today is day 63 and its the day Liz is to leave. Liz had grown very close to Daniel in their time in the room, some had even thought they were privately romantically involved, but in the past 62 days nothing like that had happened. Not that either of them didn't think about it, but romance blooming in a torture chamber is not the easiest of tasks.

The monitor turns on and Cipher sits there silent staring at this group that he at this point is not sure what to do with. His goal was to turn America into a stronger country, this group would inspire the rest of the country by overcoming fear and they would show the world that being unafraid of what the room brought them would make us a great nation. Instead he's become the villain, its about him and that is never what he wanted. But if the fates have dealt him this role, he will play it and he will get this adventure back to where it is supposed to go.

"It is day 63 people, and while yesterday's events are indeed tragic we must venture on." he speaks but the group does not respond. "Liz, where are you, its your time to leave us, please step forward and let us all say goodbye to the lovely leading heroin of our story here." Cipher scans the crowd and waits for her to step up. "Liz?"

Liz steps up, and looks up to the monitor, "I'm staying." she moves back into the crowd and sits down. This might have caused an uprising or a shock any other day, but today the wound of Daniel and this room are still raw.

"I'm afraid Elizabeth, as altruistic as that is, that is not an option. Its time to go, your number is 63, today is day 63, that's how this works." Cipher calmly retorts to her claim.

"I'm not leaving, I'm staying, Ross is staying, I'm staying." She returns his snide calm comment.

"Ross has the 100 tag and the rules state that the tag you have is the day you leave, its been that way since day one, its how it will always be until this is over. Enough of your childishness, its time to go." Cipher gets a bit more stern.

"Who wants to go home today, my tag for yours and you go home today." Liz holds her tag to the crowd.

"Enough! No more tag swapping, no more stealing, no more talking back and no more bargains, this adventure will go as intended, Liz you are going home today! Guards!" Cipher slams his palm on the table and the P90s enter the room and move towards Liz.

"Hold on!" Ross moves forward to meet the guards. "You're right no more, Liz, its time for you to go home." He grabs her hand and walks her to the guards.

"I'm not leaving you, you don't have to do this alone." she pulls her hand away.

"Its not about that, it's about doing this right." he turns from her and looks to the camera. "You're right about something else too Cipher, no more. Lets just stop with this 'adventure' crap and call this what it is, your game. I'll play your game. You'll lose. Liz, you leaving, is me getting closer to winning. Go home, tell everyone what Daniel did for you, for all of us, for me and go watch me win this game."

"Yes Liz, listen to Ross, its time to go home." Cipher points to the guards.

"Shove it." Liz sneers back at Cipher. She turns to Ross and kisses him on the cheek, "You're different from when you first got here, it suits you." She walks over to the P90s and they escort her to the door.

"Nicely done Ross, I'll take it easy on all of you today for your excellent class participation But if you think this changes the rest of our adventure, if you think that this alters anything, you just don't have what it takes. One day difference doesn't change a man." Cipher rolls back in his chair.

"It starts with one." Ross says back to him and walks back into the crowd.

Day 63 begins.
