To the lepers in your head... Day 8 part 2

Intense lights, nearly drowning, engorged with food, tight spaces and mind games, all have been horrendous, but this, this is just pure pain.

The previous day they had been pelted with small rubber balls flying at such incredible speeds that when they struck their bodies it left them battered and bruised. The sores and blisters bled through their clothes and caused such swelling on some that it was to much pain to even walk.

Today they are showered from the sprinkler system above with a mixture of what seems to be lemon juice and salt. While it isn't toxic and they will no doubt all survive this day without any fatalities, nearly all of them are in intense pain as the liquid makes its way into their open wounds causing excruciating pain.

The remainder of the day is spent trying to keep the rain from their eyes, they have almost become accustomed to the pain of it in their wounds. Several people come to Jim and ask if they can pray with him, he makes no mention of his Christmas songs or Jewel, and Ross and Anne don't turn him in.

The lights come up in the room, 'morning' has arrived and the group had survived the night. They had somehow learned to sleep standing up braced against one another, the moment one of the key pillars of the group moves, multitudes of them stumble over.

Dalton stood there looking at the two bodies of Rashaan and Jay, he had seen them in the room several times before and knew they were looking out for one another, but their they laid dead at each others hands. A voice whispered in his ear. "Ain't that something, freaking losers." Dalton turned to give the moron who would mock their deaths a piece of his mind, but stood their speechless. "Amazing that they're gone and a loser like you is still standing here. Did you miss me?" Granger smirks. "What? Don't just stand there with your mouth open like some window licker, say Hi. Ah, you're wondering, how am I here? I'm not dummy, I'm dead. What I'm wondering is, how are you not dead? That's what I don't get."

Have you come to raise the dead... Day 7 part 2

Its been four hours since the first blasts caused by Jay went off, since then the devices have gone off three more times, each random, and only one mine each time. The group has learned to keep time, one person counts to one thousand and eight hundred, and then taps someone else on the shoulder, and so on, this way they can keep track of half hour increments. They just ask out loud, how many counters, those who have counted raise their hand and they know how much time has past.

Rashaan still laid on the floor where his beaten body was left by Jay those four hours ago, everyone thought it would be best if he stayed there, worried that any movement by him, even to get back to the square would set off multiple explosions again. Jay had tried to talk to him several times, begging for forgiveness but Rashaan responded to no one who called out to him.

They sit down in the center of the room Katie Mikles was the holder of key tag number 6 and was released, Tony's body was dragged from the room by the P90s as they all stood and watched and waited for Cipher to unleash day 7.

He looked down at them, his features blank from his mask. "Well it doesn't look like some 'Sun' did you good at all, you all look very tired. You have 30 minutes before Day 7 begins, the water has been turned back on and I'm lowering in some fruit, the food has nothing to do with today's adventure so I suggest you eat while I am offering it. See you in thirty." The monitor blips out.

"Did he seriously just give us a thirty minute break to eat and drink." Dalton helps some of the other weaker captives off the floor.
