You gave me nothing Day 10 part 1

The final note plays of the song and the lights come back on in the room.
In a couple of the previous days the torture had ended at some point in the night and they would be allowed at least a couple of hours of sleep without the constant hammering of Cipher's rule, but he kept that music playing all night long.

"I can't hear a damn thing." Daniel stands up and stretches, still sore from the Stingmore mine assault three days ago.
"What?!" Ross gets up and helps up Anne and Dalton.
"I said. I can't...wait I swear to God if your messing with me right now you're getting smacked." Daniel sneers at Ross.
Ross looks at Anne, "I probably shouldn't ask him what he said again."
"No. That would be bad." she answers back.
"What?" Ross smirks and Anne smacks him. "ow."
"I'm never going to get that song out of my head." Liz walks over and joins them as the begin to move to the center of the room.
"I'd say something like if I never hear that song again before I die, I'll be a happy man, but seeing as how I'm number 52, I'm not saying that." Ross chuckles as he moves with the group.

The group comes to a stop and looks at Ross. "You've got number 52?" Liz looks at Ross.
"Yeah what do you have?" Ross looks at her.
"63." Liz answers
"73" Dalton answers
"68" Anne answers
"You know..." Daniel answers.

"And Jim has 84." Ross pauses..."so I leave first."
"I guess so." Dalton looks at him.
"Here you take it" he hands the number to Anne.
"Are you serious?!" Anne looks shocked.
"Yeah, I'd rather you left first. Besides its not that big of a jump." he hands her the number.
"I don't think I can accept this." Anne looks at the others.
"Please, its nothing, really, I can't stand here at know I'm leaving before you. Sorry can't do it."
"First of all Ross, its not like your giving me nothing, this is huge, its fifteen days, I really don't think I can make this trade." she grips her number.
"I'm pretty sure you can, think of it as like trading Star Wars cards, I'm giving you Han Solo, you're giving me Luke, both cool, just ones a little cooler than the other." he takes her tag and swaps it with his.
"Thank you." She leans in and kisses him softly on the lips.

"Hey now." Daniel smiles.
"Wow Mr. 100 days hard ass smiles?" Liz pushes him "looks like someone is romantic."
"Yeah, who knew...seems like that was a loooong time ago." Daniel moves to the center with everyone else and Alice Hyatt holds up her tag number 9 and is waiting for the monitor to come on.

"Good morning everyone, I trust you slept well, I know I did, couldn't get that song out of my head though, oh well. Number 9? Alice correct? The exit room has opened, off you go through the looking glass. Back to your boring life as a waitress I believe, and you're welcome for probably the best adventure of your life." Cipher sits in his chair, his fingers in a steeple in front of him smug in his power. "Now then, the big day 10, it seems monumental of sorts, what shall we do to make it so special, it seems like there are so few of you left we're down to almost half the lot, but let us sally forth. Everyone please relax and lie down on the floor." with Ciphers words the P90s come out to the balcony and take aim at the crowd.

The group lowers to the floor and get on their backs, some on their belly and elbows so that they can keep their eyes about the room. As the last of the assemblage is in position mid way up from the floor, probably about 3 feet high an awning of sorts begins to extend from each of the walls. Large poles extend and a make shift ceiling encompasses the room. There is about a 4 inch gap from the walls and another one between the four awnings, otherwise the group has now had their room reduced to only being three feet high.

"So are we supposed to get the feeling of buried alive here?" Daniels speaks aloud. "Because I'm not feeling it, I don't like small places but seriously I got like 2 feet above me, I feel like I'm in one of my child hood bed sheet forts."
"Yeah, its actually a bit relaxing to be honest, it sounds like a couple people over on the west wall may be having an issue but other than that I think most of us are okay." Liz tries to look around.

"I can hear all of you still, you know this right? Everyone at home is watching as well. So yes, while the new ceiling isn't right on top of you and may even give you some room to maneuver others are panicking a bit, feeling as though they're trapped, closed in and the air is rushing away from them. But did you know that claustrophobia isn't the number one fear in the United States? Nope. It ranks like number four, number two is speaking in public, but don't worry, not one of these days will I ask any of you to give a toast or dissertation. But being as it is day 10, and it seems somewhat special I wanted to up the game a bit. Plus I do feel bad that I didn't get to give Jim anything for his birthday. So we have fear number four, closed spaces and I'll of course throw in fear number one, and for good measure number five and number seven. Enjoy your day." The monitor shuts off and the P90s leave the room.

"What do you think the number one fear is?" Anne asks Ross.
"I don't know.... I would have thought heights, but that doesn't make sense." Ross looks over to Dalton. "Any idea."

"I'm a social phobe, so I'm just glad I don't have to give a speech." their little group laughs. "Maybe its, ahhhh!" Dalton squirms. "Something just crawled on me!"

"I don't feel anything." Liz looks around the room again. "Oh crap." the rest of the room, especially those who felt that being close to that four inch gap  would help with their anxiety seem to be tossing and trying to stand up but are blocked by their new living arrangements. "Um, I think Cipher got Jim some pets for his birthday."

"Is the number one fear spiders? Oh I really hope its not spiders." Anne gets closer to Ross.
"What're you Indiana Jones now?" Dalton chimes in.
"He was afraid of snakes, not spiders, if you would have said Jeff Daniels that would have made more sense, he was in Arachnophobia." Ross pulls Anne next to him.

"Oh don't worry, I think Indiana wouldn't like this day either." Daniel squeezes his eyes shut tight as a large snake slithers across his body.

"Snakes....why did it have to be snakes." Ross tries to squirm away but in this tight spot, there really is no place to go.
